Stem cells : as therapy for cancer
I believe many of you still strange with this term. But, maybe some of you who ever looking for treatment for cancer, must know this stem cell therapy. What is it stem cells ? Stem cells are blood cells at the earliest stage of development in the bone marrow, human embryo, the brain and blood from the umbilical cord. The promise of stem cells lies in their ability to develop into specialized types of cells and to replicate themselves. A blood stem cell or bone marrow transplant allows the patient to have much higher doses of chemotherapy than usual, to improve the chances of curing the disease. Now, I just want to specified posting about treatment brain cancer with stem cell because my patient died two days ago because brain cancer. If I know this therapy long time ago, maybe he can survived.
