Low Back pain and your pregnancy
Many of my patient complaints about back pain. Now, back pain and pregnancy become hand in hand and not amazingly, there are a amount of physical argues why it occurs. This content will look at a few of them.
- Hormones. During gestation, hormones can soften ligaments causing a lot movement in the joints than usual and in a few cases, the ligaments are stretched along or strained.
- Uterus. The growing fetus in the uterus can cause changes in posture which result in lower back pain. As the entire area enlarges, force is put on the spine and vertebra.
- Position by fetus. Particularly in the later stages of development, the position of the foetus can compress nerves in the backbone, causing back pain.
